just wanted to write you and say thanks for your words back to my thread about my struggle, it really meant a lot at the time and now. I really appreciate it. Keep it up....
strider
Sometimes I run away
Sometimes I run in circles
And I waste another day
Sometimes I walk behind you
Sometimes I walk ahead
Sometimes I walk with blinders
But I never hear you say...,"Find your own way home."
Yeah, we do get unbelievers in the meetings sometimes, and we go out of our way to make them feel welcome. Still, as our meeting format says, "we are a company of Christian men." Unsaved guys either become Christians and stay, or they fairly quickly drift away.
Thanks so much for your note. It's not easy for a pastor to be transparent -- I never was while I was in the ministry. I have several pastor brothers in the Samson Society, though, who have found a safe place to be completely and consistently honest. Some of them attend Samson meetings in a church other than their own. Others have formed closed Samson meetings "off the map" for pastors only. I hope you find a good solution soon. It's a matter of life and death.
