My Story

I started writing my story earlier today and lost it. I hate technology.

Like most men here, my story is long and complicated. I don't have the emotional strength to write it all now. I am new here I had my 'rock bottom" moment recently on 05-20-09 when my wife found out my secret.. I have fought with this for a long time. Recently, I have confessed my sin to fellow brothers in Christ, repented and am on the long struggling journey to recovery.

I will fill in the rest of my story as I find the strength to tell it.

Another month

Time seems to be going by so slowly. It seems like it has been forever since I started on my new life, but it has been only about 6 months.

So far, it is going ok. I can tell if I slack off on my Bible reading that my closeness with God and my prayers are affected. I need to be more vigilant about that. I am along the road to victory and now am beginning toe think "now what?" What does God have in store for me next? I'm sure he has a plan and I am excited to learn what it is.

5 months now

Five months on and I am still clean - more or less. No more porn, thank God. But masturbation isn't totally defeated yet. I have slipped 3 times. Once was 2 days ago. God has taken me a long way down the recovery road. I just feel myself slipping into cruise control and I want to keep pushing forward. I was reading the Bible nightly with my wife, but lately we have been missing some days.

Another month

Well it has been over 2 months since my d-day. I have mad good progress I'd say. Through God's strength I have kept away from porn, not masturbated and my thought life has gradually become purer. I am miles away from the depths I started from. The guilt I have over what all I did sometimes really gets to me. I can't believe I was leading such a sinful life.

Satan is pulling at me hard to get me back. Please pray for my continued strength.
